Waxflower in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, it’s as if the fairies had bent over Mother Nature. As soon as you enter this florist’s shop, the scent of roses from small growers’ gardens mixes subtly with the scent of eucalyptus. Giant vases are filled with luxuriant vegetation such as those you can encounter on a coastal path, fragrant heather, shiny branches, blooming green leaves, small white beads that would crumble between your fingers. From the simplest to the most extravagant bouquet, everything is possible. Thierry and Grégory, the creators of this mythical place, seem themselves to emerge from their counter like plants happy to have grown so much. Nawid has the sense of a well-made bouquet, nicely tied up with raffia. They can be at once landscapers in your garden, ensure deliveries, click and collect, all wrapped in a smile without artifice. Their website looks like them, elegant, but not ostentatious. And the weekly subscriptions they offer their customers have a bright future. In this luminous cavern, where branches stretch out lazily, handcrafted candles compete with vases at more than affordable prices, the vegetation runs along a staircase that must surely lead to paradise.
