With chef Patrick Charvet in the kitchen, the brasserie of the legendary Left Bank palace is once again the unmissable gourmet break in chic and elegant Saint-Germain.
All roads in Saint-Germain-des-Prés lead to the Brasserie du Lutetia! Ideally located between the Bon Marché and the boutiques of the rue de Rennes, at the crossroads of the lively 6th and 7th arrondissements, this elegant Art Deco brasserie has always been a landmark and a meeting place for lovers of the district. In the dining room, in the hidden patio or on the new terrace, the chic Parisian elite likes to meet up for a gourmet break in this place where the Germanopratin spirit flows.
The chef, Patrick Charvet, has also managed to give the Brasserie its timeless character, through traditional dishes, while bringing in modernity and trendiness. He is one of the few chefs to have completed a world tour around the cuisine, exploring new culinary horizons. Combined with his experience in several Michelin-starred restaurants and his love for classic cuisine, he has come up with original and tasty proposals such as a tuna crudo with Asian flavours, a Maine Anjou royal pigeon with cherries and verbena or, for dessert, a strawberry-basil Pavlova, created with the pastry chef Nicolas Guercio. And of course, the splendid seafood platters that have delighted generations of Germanopratins are still there, tempting and eternal.
