Launched in 2016 by Héloïse Wirth and Sarah Bouchez, the shoe brand is a must for Parisian women.

Bégum, that was the nickname we gave our grandmother,” jokes Héloïse Wirth, founder of the shoe brand, with her cousin Sarah Bouchez. Opened in 2016 on rue du Pré-aux-Clercs, the brand manufactures all its models in France. More precisely in Fougères (Ille-et-Vilaine), in the family workshop that used to make shoes for Chanel or Louboutin. At Begum Paris, one model has become a must: the Lucrèce boot. “The best-selling model in the Rive Gauche boutique,” notes Héloïse. With its flat heel and its many variations in colour and material, it seduces Parisian women and tourists in search of so French chic. Other ankle boots are also very popular, such as the Diane model with its small heel for retro fans or the London, ideal for rock fans. The boots are also a great success, and to discover them, you can only do so in the boutique. “You can’t find them on our website, as the models are always sold out before our photoshoot”, explains Héloïse. The entrepreneur imagines a third address for the house, ideally in the 8th arrondissement. Bégum, a brand that is making great strides.
