A new boutique decorated like a boudoir, where you can claim your femininity, in red and black of course!
Isabelle Bordji, a designer trained at Studio Berçot, has been running Maison Ernest since 2012. This attractive Amazon, daughter of a Javanese princess, now designs the models of the brand founded in 1904 by Ernest Amselle, right in front of the Moulin Rouge. The house’s specialty: high heels pumps, long reserved for cabaret dancers. But these sulphurous objects, with their French design, have seduced a wider clientele. After Mistinguett or Josephine Baker, they have been worn by Cindy Crawford, Kate Moss, Kylie Minogue or Beyoncé. Helmut Newton’s photos have elevated the Élysée pump to the rank of icon. Karl Lagerfeld’s photos, then Jean-Paul Gaultier’s fashion shows took over, followed by Philippe Decouflé or Thierry Mugler’s shows.
Maison Ernest is for all women. Combining glamour and the interdicts, surfing on the sensual aesthetics of fashion, her top-of-the-range creations guarantee a rare comfort. Our favourites: the red flagship pump Damnation with jewellery and, for everyday, the Bandit leather boots. To be immediately put on your must-have list!
