A new skin care technology, an original expert balm and the first boutique for its brands MAISON FLAMEL and MAISON DOUZE: Samer Zakharia is becoming a little more established in the neighbourhood.
The elegant women of Saint-Germain-des-Prés discovered him at Le Bon Marché, followed him to the Bac Verneuil pharmacy, then to the Bel Ami where he is now the exclusive skincare brand of the hotel’s spa. And now Samer Zakharia is at home, rue de l’Échaudé, with his store: L’Athanor, a showcase for his brands MAISON FLAMEL and MAISON DOUZE. A first consecration for this young beauty creator with a singular and endearing personality.
Native of Lebanon, the young man has always been fascinated by astrology and esotericism and passionate about perfumes since childhood. Trained at HEC and then working at LVMH and L’Oréal, he decided someday to put marketing studies aside and follow his intuition. So was born the brand MAISON FLAMEL, a contemporary cosmetics house, named after the famous alchemist. As he likes to say, his treatments, a blend of scientific innovations (pulsed oxygen, biotechnological active ingredients) and magic (textures, perfumes), reinterpret alchemy for an immediate well-being. Success was dazzling and soon he launched MAISON DOUZE, a collection of luxury perfumes, born under the sign of astrology.
In love with Saint-Germain-des-Prés where he lives, the young designer is taking a new step this spring with the opening of L’Athanor. The name says it all: the athanor is the alchemical furnace where metal is transformed into gold. The boutique is therefore the intimate, chic and contemporary space for customised appointments where you can discover Samer Zakharia’s beauty secrets. An oxygen treatment of about ten minutes is offered to those who come to choose perfumes and cosmetics. Conquered, it is towards the Bel Ami hotel that they will head then for a complete experience of the FLAMEL HOUSE treatments. It all starts with an extremely precise scan of the facial skin. This innovation allows a precise diagnosis of the state of the skin (spots, redness, dryness, real age of the skin…) to adapt the care. Better targeted, the Rituel Alchimique, a signature treatment of the house, composed of pulsed oxygen enriched with hyaluronic acid, vitamins and oligo-elements, sees its effectiveness increased tenfold. And as the creator is constantly working, we will test the other great novelty of this spring: the massage with the Baume Alkémique, an original gel that transforms into oil and contains alchemilla, the alchemists’ plant, rich in vitamin C and renowned for its healing and astringent properties.
