It’s springtime again, and that means time to enjoy exploring the new restaurant menu on the one and only terrace on the rue de la Canettes. Settle into a comfortable chair and start with the cream of pea and herb soup or the sautéed asparagus with parmesan, a seasonal delicacy with a subtle, perfumed flavor. To follow, let yourself give in to temptation and try the Zuppa di cozze, a sauté of mussels and croutons brushed delicately with garlic. We’re sure you won’t regret it, all the more so as at Chez Bartolo the cuisine is Neapolitan and you can have the whole Mediterranean on your plate. Perhaps you’d rather fresh squid sautéed with artichoke and topped with mint, it’s enough to make your tastebuds tremble. For dessert, we chose the coppa Raffaella, a creation inspired by owner Aurélie Carron’s mother, and the combination of iced yoghurt and fresh strawberry revels in true springtime freshness. But a good meal is nothing without a good wine. Plunge in and discover the Neapolitan vintages with their deep aroma that lingers on the palate. The restaurant is showcasing these wines until the summer closure (from August 2nd). And if we tell you that the lunchtime menu is between €19 and €23, there’s really nothing more to say! Let yourself discover all the culinary flavors of real Italy.
